A. We source most of our young barley leaves from the highland area of China. We grow our own young barley in associating with contract farms there. This is a great environment for young barley; the high elevation of 1,500-1,800m provides strong UV exposure and low temperatures (32-50˚F / 0-10˚C). We can grow young barley without pesticide because essentially no pests affect barley at this altitude. Our knowledgeable staff are stationed on site, and we only use young shoots as raw material.
